Edging is dangerous for bikes

I recently fell off of my bike for the first time in many years. I just figured out the culprit...edging. Grass naturally grows over sidewalks. Edging removed the grass, bringing a nice looking edge to a yard. However it also creates a small "hole" on the end of the sidewalk. This "hole" can swallow a tire that rides close to the end, once a tire is inside it is likely to stop due to friction from the sidewalk and ground. Naturally the bike will stop quickly and steering control will be minimized, due to the tire being inside a "hole", the rider will be unable to turn in either direction. Therefore edging is likely to cause a problems for bikes....be careful
