Capitalism has not worked

I don't know much about the mafia, however I understand that once inside it is nearly impossible to leave.

I believe capitalism has been a complete failure for humanity. The environment is failing due to pollution. Many people assume money will bring happiness. However, the richest members of society suffer from mental issues at an amazingly high rate ( most are depressed ). Additionally, a small percentage of people have an unbelievable amount of abundance, while a super majority suffer with little or nothing. I can not believe this is the best way for humanity.

I believe capitalism has outlasted it's usefulness, because it is hard to move on. Government, monetary systems, laws are all based on a flawed capitalistic system. It acts as a systemic mafia. Only by changing the system can humanity evolve. However capitalism is embedded in such a way that it seems impossible to do anything else.

I hope to take the Downtube into a socialistic business model. There will be remnants of capitalism in our business, however we hope to change the bicycle market. This will provide others a model to create more change in other markets. Together we may be able to break away from capitalism into a social state that treats everyone the same.
