8S: Front Suspension 8 speed Folding Bike

( 4 Reviews )

The affordable folding commuter bike Sold out 6/19. Please look at our 9S and 8H models.

The 8S is a foldable bike that combines comfort and speed at an affordable price. Thanks to its state-of-the-art front suspension system and small wheels, the 8S is one of the most comfortable folding bikes you'll ever ride. With the same aluminum frame as the top-selling 9S, the 8S is as solid as it is comfortable.

The 8S has an 11-32 rear cassette, which allows its rider to climb steep hills with ease. The rear cassette allows the 8S to reach speeds up to 20mph for peak performance on steep roads. We've also included front derailleur braze-on with cable routing, which allows the gears to be easily expandable up to 16 or 24 speeds, which makes it perfect for riding through mountains and cities.

To accommodate people of different heights, the stem angle can be adjusted from 0 to 60 degrees. This changes the virtual top tube length, so a custom fit is quick and easy.

The 8S has wide handlebars and bar ends that make controlling it much easier. The bar ends encourage the rider to hold it from its end, which provides additional leverage and stability.

When it comes to quality parts, we always provide the best value for money, even on our budget models. The 8S has a high-quality 8sp gripshift drivetrain by Microshift. It is worth mentioning that we are the only folding car manufacturer that uses cassettes on a $300 bike model. Cassette drivetrains provide a much smoother shifting than that of the low-end freewheels used by other manufacturers for their similarly-priced bikes.

Add to that the high-end aluminum frame, comfortable fork and small fold and you have a bike that is hard as a rock and smooth as silk at the same time. The bike's lightweight frame, light plastic rear fender, adjustable kickstand and removable frame protector all make it a perfect folding commuter bike as well.

The frame of the 8S includes a headtube bag interface (check out our head tube bag system), pump interface (behind the seat tube), and water bottle braze-ons (pump and cage are not included). Installing upgrades is easy since the frame is ready to grow with you.

All those features are never at the cost of mobility, which is a key feature in any good foldable bike. When folded, the 8S can easily fit in any vehicle.

Our low-cost, high-value business model which provides customers with value for money that by far exceeds that offered by any of our competitors.

Excellent bike, very strong

Philip Candage Dec 23rd 2017

Received bike 2 days ago, unboxed, unfolded, inflated tires, everything in good condition, easy to unfold & assemble. One minor glitch, front plastic reflector broken so contacted Yan who is sending a new one to me. Next day went over bike to finish checking tightness, adjusted one brake pad a bit to line up better with wheel rim, went for a short ride. Took bike for a better ride today, just over 12 miles. I'm currently in the Florida keys so yes it is flat. I'm 66 about 175 lbs, have not ridden a 2 wheeler in quite some time, previously had a couple of tricycles I used down here (over a year ago), rode an Azub mostly. The obvious, I've got to get used to the seat on the 2 wheeler vs. the comfort of the trike. Initial ride today was at least as fast as my usual on the trike, about 10-11 mph. I should be able to improve that a bit as I get in better biking form. So far I'm very pleased as the bike was easy and quick to get going. The components look to be of good quality, the brakes work well and it shifts easily. I've added to bottle cages, have a seat gel pad coming to see how that works. Don't see how it could have been any easier to unbox and adjust. Excellent value for the money when compared to the competition (recognizing that my info is from research onthe internet and reviews as there are no actual bikes or dealers in this area). Bottom line, I'm very satisfied.
