Quickrelease Adjustment Instructions
Step #1 Open and close all quick releases on the bike. You should feel resistance at lever half way through swing from open to fully closed. If it is too tight or too loose it must be adjusted.

Step #2 Use a 10mm wrench to hold the nut in the back of the frame quick release ( and stems from 2007 and earlier models ). Then turn the quick release clockwise it if was too loose, or counterclockwise if it was too tight and repeat your test in Step #1 until it is just right.

Step #3 On 2008 model stems you do not need a wrench, just turn the quick release clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen.

Step #4 Wheel quickreleases are the easiest to adjust. If it is too tight hold the quick release lever with one hand, while the other turns the other end on the axle counterclockwise, if it is too loose turn clockwise.
